Du discours sur l’art national: Van Hasselt et "La Renaissance" (1839-1854)

The article focuses on the discursive transfer of ancient Flemish artistic works in La Renaissance (1839-1854), an art magazine published in Belgium by André Van Hasselt, one of the main Belgian intercultural agents of the first half of the 19th century. This magazine is a meeting place of journalists, historians, poets, and offers a radiography of current views and techniques with regard to national uses of art.
